SO HOW DO YOU FIND BLOGS THAT INTEREST YOU?

I initially hesitated about posting this question because I didn't feel comfortable asking it.   I realize you can do searches but I find that it takes too much time for me.  Am I doing something wrong?  I feel that I visit so many blogs but can't find those that intesest me.  I want to belong to blogs that relate to what I do and love - jewelry making, shabby chic, mix media, family and just being creative.  Any pointers for this blog newbie?

  1. One way you can find like-minded bloggers is via Networked Blogs on Facebook. Put your search phrase in the "browse" field and you'll find all kinds of similar interests!

I’m following you now on New Friend Friday! Please follow me back on my blog “Inspire!”

My latest inspirational postings are, “The Power,” “The Triumphant Heart,” “Pure Love,” “Peace of Mind,” and “Simple Gesture.”

  3. Jenny...you will find the ones that you like and are of interest to you as you visit that one or two that make you smile. Check out the sites that are linked on their site. Most time, bloggers link up with blogs that make their hearts skip a beat. So, there's a good chance there will be one on that blog that you like. And then when you go to it...they will have links too, and there maybe one that you like there and then the chain continues. It's all networking and it takes time. You are on the right journey. You will find like minded artists that make your heart sing and soar too...just hang in there and don't give up! Hugs...Lovey

  9. Hi Jenny,

You are a new member to our Bliss Guild so I thought I would stop by to say hello...

I think many have answered your queston ... the biggest thing is to read the blog rolls or seperate pages that others have... some have them right on their blog...others have a seperate page with a list of blogs they frequent...

  12. Hi Jenny, Most have given you great answers. I do those as above, I don't have an active blog yet, haven't had the time to put it together, but if you join theblogfrog.com, it is a great, great way to find what you're interested in or even start a community of your interests & they find you. Less work. Hope it was helpful let me know if you join and if you like it. I'll follow you there. I'm in the Etsy guild so you can message me there as well. If anything I can also send you a coule of shabby blogs to get you started on looking at their blog roll. Here's one for starters; http://sissieshabbycottage.blogspot.com/2010/04/around-house.html basically shabby blog with decor, craft ideas etc...

  13. I agree with Karen, if you follow the links on someone's sidebar of a blog you are interested in, you're most likely to find others there too. Good luck, I found you through Karen, of course!

  15. Hi Jenny,
I agree with you that it's hard to find blogs that incorporate all of the things I'm interested in. I'm especially focused on Shabby Chic and interior decor, but also in pro-life and my Catholic faith. Some people separate the two, but I can't seem to do that. My blog has been mostly focused on the faith and family, but now that I'm finding better health and more time, my daughters and I will be focusing on design.
It's nice to meet you! :D
